![]() He still was holding an emotional distance by staring at the music box. Like I said his emotional wall was not completely down yet. He was concerned so he really cared for her, but then he didn’t even make eye contact once they were sitting in his apartment but rather examined the music box in front of him. In the few times in which he spoke, his voice was lacking his usual undertone completely so he meant every word he said without a hidden agenda. So let’s move forward.Īs he did during the telephone conversation he let Lizzy do most of the talking again. So Lizzy was able to break through his emotional wall which was not completely down at this point. After all he told her that he would be there if she would ever need him. This man sat in the box after he turned himself in and waited as if he would have had a haircut done. However, we are talking about Red here, someone who never showed such an open emotional reaction in front of somebody else. They worked closely together over the last few months after all. Well, this kind of reaction is quite normal. Nevertheless he felt really sorry for her and even showed compassion. This man just loves being correct especially because he told her not to trust her husband from the beginning. “I never tire of being correct”, would have been his typical and expected answer but instead he felt really sorry, although he couldn’t suppress a fast-twitching grin of triumph. He was frowning and couldn’t even hold her gaze. Please note the slight differences in his gestures. The moment in which Lizzy said the words, which he was actually quite enjoying to hear, his manner and aura changed completely. Because of his life style over the years it became a habit of him to act arrogant. During his work he always holds himself with this “I’m better than you and I’m superior to you” posture. He was holding his chin slightly up which is a typical pose for him. When he opened this door he was fully “Red” the way he looked at her with his slight cynical, smug arrogance and how he curled his lips in his all-knowing manner: So let’s watch closely how Red was reacting during the scene and what he was doing, as well as how he was doing what he was doing. Other than the fire issue where we had a lot of spoken information, in this case we need to work with gestures and sounds, similar to the telephone conversation. So what was he doing? He was preparing and Lizzy and the audience realized in the end for what. Could he even have a hobby like building something? Rather unlikely. But… he is a man traveling around the world, never staying longer than two days in one location. ![]() But sometimes there was Red building on something delicate and during the whole episode you thought he was engaging in a hobby. We saw him doing his job as an FBI informant while Lizzy did her own thing … pretty much everything happened as usual. Of course there is no getting round the scene if we want to solve the Red-Lizzy connection.įirst of all I have to praise the writing of this whole episode. But this scene was very special and I think I’m right if I say that the whole fandom was crying regardless of whether they are Lizzingtons or DaddyGaters. He may have shown guilt while talking about Sam, grief while Lizzy turned his back on him or joy as she came back. We never have seen him behave in the way we saw him in this scene and until the end of the season we never see him again in this state. Also Red reached his weakest emotional point without even having an exhausting day before. Now go out there and work till there’s no tomorrow! Or shut off your computer and do something else.“The 1940 Sorrento Music Box” - scene is one, if not my most favorite scene in the whole season. You can only work on your assignments or….shut off your computer and procrastinate in some other way (it’s not 100% foolproof but what is these days?) If you don’t have a Mac then there is a Self Control like program for windows known as SelfRestraint or another program that is known as Cold Turkey. But, maybe you think that by deleting Self Control or restarting your computer you’ll be able to look at those sites before the timer was supposed to run out? Well, you’d be wrong because even if you delete Self Control or restart your computer you will be unable to look at any of those websites until the timer runs out. When this happens you won’t be able to go on any of the sites put on the blacklist on Self Control. Then, set the amount of time you want Self Control to operate. Once you download Self Control, set the list of sites that distract you on its blacklist. So, you’re having trouble with getting work done? Keep playing video games, watching Netflix or looking at articles on the internet? Well, I’ve got a program that runs on the Mac OS X that will stop you from doing any procrastinating on your computer.
