![]() User-visible changes in 3.4: Font styles can be chosen. Data can be captured from external sources such as Internet sockets or other programs. It also allows for manipulation and editing of datasets. The following plot is displayed when the Fortran program is executed. Veusz provides GUI, Python module, command line, scripting, DBUS and SAMP interfaces to its plotting facilities. gnuplot is then called to run a file named data_t which is located in the same folder as the Fortran program. Excel retuns an exponential function of 150e-0.115x, so I took this as starting values for the coefficients p. I thought it should work with my old code, but apparently, I am doing something wrong, but I don't see my mistake. The above Fortran program actually calculates the points on the parabola y=x^2 and then writes into the file data. Again, I have to fit exponential data and get the coefficients. Add Covariance widget for plotting covariance ellipses. Fill above/below setting shown in key for xy widget. Add Colormap sequence plugin for choosing colors of widgets. Add GetColormap command to return RGBA values. Changes in 1.25: Add n-dimensional dataset support. Once gnuplot finishes plotting (to your display/ or to a file), then the control will be given back to the Fortran program to continue execution. jeremysanders released this on May 14, 2017. So what has it got to do with Fortran programs? Since gnuplot can be run from a terminal, we can ask the Fortran program to open a system terminal and ask to run gnuplot. It is a command line plotting utility that can produce publication-quality plots. Then I came across the wonderful gnuplot software (free and open source !!). How great would it be if we can have a plotting option directly in Fortran programs? I was having trouble finding a proper way to do this.
